I hurried to the ticket office. May I have two tickets please? I asked.

Can I return these two tickets? he asked.

I went back to the ticket office at once.

Certainly, the girl said, but theyre for next Wednesdays performance. Do you still want them?
I might as well have them, I said sadly.
疑问：but theyre for next Wednesdays performance. 这句不是非常懂，没补充成分来讲明介词短语for next Wednesdays performance的内容，意义不明。不知其为什么这么写？
正常的不应该是“but theyre two tickets to next Wednesdays performance.” 吗？
“...的票”要用 ticket for...，不需要ticket to。but theyre for next Wednesdays performance = but theyre for next Wednesdays performance
